Docketbook have created a set of roles to apply to user profiles, depending on your company's privacy preferences and what job the user needs to do. Roles are added per user, by going to Settings, Users.

Administrator |
- Highest level of access, including user management, template editing, group management, and contact management. Administrators can view dockets created by all users.
- Note: if an Administrator needs to mange their company's Docketbook subscription and billing details, they should be marked as a Super User within their user settings.

Docket Creator (Dockets) |
- This role is for users who need to create dockets where the company does not use Orders or Job allocation. If this role is applied, the user will be able to create dockets on the app. These dockets are not linked to an order.
- This role allows users to complete and send dockets.

Docket Creator (Jobs) |
- This role should be used where the Job allocation tool is being used. The user will be able to see jobs allocated to them, and will be able to create dockets only off of jobs specifically allocated to them
- The user will only be able to create dockets for assigned jobs. They will not be able create adhoc dockets.
- This role allows users to complete and send dockets from jobs they have been allocated.

- This role should be used where Orders are being used.
- Users will be able to see all open orders and will be able to create dockets only off of any of these orders
- The user will only be able to create dockets for open orders. They will not be able create adhoc dockets.
- This role allows users to complete and send dockets from orders.

Editor
|
- Permission to create and edit Orders, Jobs and Dockets and maintain Contacts, but excludes access to administrative settings.

Global Member |
- A special role that gives the user permission to access the company purely to be able to access it's sub-groups. In a company structure that contains multiple groups, the Global Member role is used to ensure the user can access the company to be able to navigate to the group they have been allocated.

Reader |
- This role can only read (not edit) Orders, Jobs and Dockets
