Setting up Classifications

Classifications are used to link your rate types to actual resources in your resource library

What is a Classification

Classifications are used to link one or more rate types to resources in your library.  They can also be assigned to users so only certain classifications are available when creating a docket.

For Labour dockets, Classifications are usually the CW1 - CW6 range but may also include specific plant operator classifications etc.

For Plant dockets, you could set up classifications for each individual piece of plant that you operate and assign them to specific users based on competencies and licenses.

Adding New Classifications

To add a new Classification, select Add New Item from the Classifications tab

On the next screen, select a resource for each rate type in use.

It is worth spending a few minutes to make sure that you have the necessary resources available in your library before starting to link them.

Assigning Users to Classifications

By default Users will see all classifications, however, if they are assigned one or more, they will only see those assigned.

You can either assign users to a classification by using the ellipse menu to 'Assign Users', or from the users area, find the user and select the classifications tab to assign the necessary items.

Selecting a Classification when Creating a New Docket

When creating a new docket, if the user has one classification assigned it will select automatically.  If they have multiple, they will be asked to choose, as shown here.
