Pre-start checklists

Pre-start checklists can be incorporated on the daily docket. You can choose to expose the pre-start checklist to customers on the docket, or to hide it. There may be instances where it does not make sense to include the prestart on the usual daily docket, and the operators instead will need to submit a pre-start docket in addition to their usual docket. In this case, (if you are on a medium plan and upward), you can create a Pre-start group which will house all of your pre-start checklist dockets.

  1. Adding a pre-start checklist to your usual daily docket

If you want to incorporate a pre-start checklist within your usual daily docket, all you need to do is go to Settings, go to Docket Templates, click on Build, click on Add Section on the bottom left, and select “Checklists”. Then you will need to select New Checklist on the right hand column. Here you will be able to name your checklist, and add in the checklist items:

Click on Save, and then Save Template on the top right. The checklist will now become visible on the operators app when they create a new docket – the checklist will simply be an addition section in the docket. You will be able to see their responses to the checklist by reviewing dockets in the Dockets section of Docketbook.

If you do not want to include the pre-start checklist within the usual docket, you can create a separate pre-start group, and operators will need to submit a pre-start docket on the app, in addition to the usual daily docket.

  • First, a new pre-start docket template will need to be set up, with a checklist section:

  • Then you will need to set up an additional Pre-start group on Docketbook (this can be plan dependent). This Timesheet docket should be set as the default template for the Timesheet group

  • Operators will need to be added as users within the Pre-start group

  • Operators will need to submit a daily Pre-start docket on the App in addition to the usual docket submitted. Creating the pre-start dockets works the same as the usual docket, except that operators select the pre-start group on the app instead of the company name:

The pre-start information will be presented on the desktop to Administrators in the Dockets section of the Pre-start group.
