Docket Fields are where you can add specific questions or information that will appear on your dockets. These fields can be customized to different types, including text, multi-line, number, date, time, boolean, and select fields.

Here are the available field types:

  • Text: A single-line text field. Previous values are stored in the app's history, allowing for easy selection of past values.

  • Multi-line: This field is suitable for capturing more detailed information and allows for multiple lines of text to be recorded.

  • Boolean: Displays a simple on/off switch for toggling a value.

  • Number: Displays a numeric keyboard and allows only numerical values to be recorded.

  • Date: Records a date field, allowing users to select or enter a specific date.

  • Time: Records a time value, defaulting to the current time.

  • Select: Allows users to choose from a predefined set of values in a dropdown list.

In order to edit or modify the name of a docket field, follow these steps:

  1. Log into Docketbook using Google Chrome web browser on your computer.

  2. Select the "Settings" tab.

  3. Click on the "Fields" tab.

  4. Locate and click on the specific field that you want to edit or change the name of.

  5. In the field settings, you can edit the name of the field. You can also specify whether the field should be mandatory or optional before saving the changes.

By customizing your docket fields, you can gather the necessary information and ensure consistency in the data captured on your dockets.
